| Anorectal manometry : Anorectal manometry is a test used to assess how the muscles and nerves of the rectum and anus function. The test measures anal sphincter pressures, rectal sensation, reflexes, and the coordination of muscles used during bowel movements. You may be having this test if you are having problems having bowel movements (pooping). Or, you may be passing stools when you don't want to, or you can't have a bowel movement when you feel the urge to do so. | |
